Kannada on Ubuntu Gutsy

Kannada support is flawless out-of-box on Gutsy. Although in some installations, the Malige font has to be removed to get Kannada rendered properly.

$cd /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-kannada-fonts
$sudo rm Malige.*

and follow it up with

$fc-cache
